Smashing Pumpkins* – London By Day

These positive reviews are really baffling. The sound on this is so harsh and fatiguing that I can barely sit through one side.

Mixing and pressing is fantastic. The only let down is the track listing on the rear of the gatefold that is a low res scan that’s not been sized correctly and is heavily pixelated when it was printed which almost makes the artwork resemble a badly printed bootleg. But the show and the pressing itself are 5*.

Wow, what a release. The price point is more in line with what I can do for random SP live releases. The recording and lineup is unique, amazing overall sound, and the packaging is fantastic. I hope they do more releases just like this!!

This album sounds amazing! Great mix/mastering. No crowd noise except for the occasional clapping/cheers in the beginning/middle/ending of songs. Completely free of any surface noise. Brad Wilk kicks on the drums. Monuments To An Elegy does not receive a lot of love, but these tracks really shine played live. I was able to pick up at Madame ZuZu's today and avoid waiting/paying for shipping. Highly recommend purchasing a copy before it sells out. Favorite tracks: Glass And The Ghost Children, Fame, and the heavy grungy version of Ava Adore. I am curious to hear what others think about this pressing.
