- just to rub it in ...the sellout lp cost me 1.00...it is mint in every detail and..a lovely loud pressing...as is my polydor international copy of tommy..only issued in stereo..so stop looking for that in mono..haha !!! tommy was free.as a point of interest the mobile fidelity version of tommy is the closest sound to this loud oz version of tommy..and very superior to my original polydor copy etc.all my versions have original tri fold cover and librato.all other oz represses are crap in sound and presentation.
with regards my original polydor stereo sellout , the sound is ok but nowhere as good as the mono. i have never heard a stereo polydor international sellout.
finally a quick one was issued on polydor international in oz..mono only..very loud.whos next oz pressing total shit..no do ya in wont get fooled again..and i didnt...all imports for me after that.
leeds initially came with inserts..on polydor only.
another loud cut on polydor international to look for is hendrix electric ladyland..stereo only...us cover not uk.
are you experienced and axis issued on polydor international in loud mono.no lyric sheet in axis.
cream also for fresh cream and disraeli gears...loud.!!!!
i am absolutely not an audiophile...i'm talking power feeling soul etc.
the beat goes on..... - i have the aust mono copy with a special aust tour postcard advertising their back catalogue on polydor international up to sellout.the "real" who played aust once..january '68.i'm a huge fan so will not sell or trade...i have never seen this listed in any who rarities article and this is the only one that i've ever seen..definitely official.also sellout in oz did not come with poster...and the card is definitely for the up coming tour with the small faces and paul jones.the card is excellent photographic quality with the back catalogue titles printed on the back..i also have live photos/negatives from the show in my town that have never been published.these are professional, not audience shots .i am the downunder who fan...accept no...substitute.
- this is the last of the 4 aussie clearasile sleeves i needed and this is obviously the rarest one, this is the first polydor black international label sleeve cat # 612-002 in mono. so now i have the black international stereo & mono orig pressings, the 2 red polydor sleeve reissues from the early 1970s and the 1975 double pack lp with both a quick one and sell out in a nice gatefold sleeve, all are aussie pressings. this one here cat # 612-002 is the rarest of all of them, i got a near mint copy yesterday, fantastic shape for a 52 year old lp.........
- I have four different Australian pressings, two original from 1968, one a second pressing from early 70s on red polydor label (with Essex publisher stamp), and the other is a double LP with A Quick One from 1975 I think. All have the Clearasil cover.
- this original 1967 australian pressing has a bit of a unique sleeve to australia only, instead of odorono keith is using it says clearsile instead......................................... first aussie pressing only....
