Reviews
- Seed by the British band Earthstone was the 12th release on the Kinesis label. Stealing the Fire represents the first new music from ex-members. While Seed was more Chris Phillips’ project, STF is Chris Bond’s, though Chris Phillips helps out on bass. Playing a major role is female vocalist Saff Edye, who gives the vocal passages a feel very similar to the British band Solstice. This is a mix of traditional and modern progressive, sometimes dominated by keyboards and sometimes by guitars, about half instrumental and half vocal. Excluding a short atmospheric track, the remaining six tracks average nearly ten minutes each.
“Stunning in its dramatic effect” [Progression]
