The obscure Alabama-based Sherba label issued this super guitar-led belter which undoubtedly deserved to be a hit in 1959. In name-checking ‘That’s All Right Mama’ in the song’s lyrics, Warren demonstrated that he was indeed a real hep cat, while the B-side, also a great rocker, has our man on the lam, pursued by both cops and bloodhounds. Super rare on original.
