Timberlake has an ability to separate himself from the other rubbish out there in commercial markets. And he seems to step inside the Studio when he feels the time presents itself. And i have to face it, the boy has talent when he does things right.
Now the album 20-20 experience was a mixed bag, some tracks was very soul-inspired and some more modern RnB faced . But to live and sell music to the commercial mass market you have to inject it with sounds that are IN at the moment. I don´t believe that you need to because it has proven to work without making it appealing to the youngsters (Alicia Keys, Joss Stone, Duffy). But i have been totally hooked on Suit & Tie. I think the backbone of the track is fabulous. Just splendid beautiful soul bouncer is easily irresistible. There is however two problems with it.. one is Jay-Z.
I just don´t get the point of dragging rappers in to speak shit on your tracks, especially on a track like this.. i mean, in this case his input here is a total failure. Problem two is that i also think that the structure of this song is quite wrong. It starts in half beat before going in to it´s main rhythm, breaks down a couple times more then done. Luckily some bedroom producers out there has re-arranged the track and thrown out Jay-Z´s part. Blissful.
I think Timberlake should narrow down his workspace and go more in a more self-responsible directed approach. I know the guy has talent, He knows how to express it, but let´s outside forces smear it. He should really close his working circle when doing music.

I ever disliked RnB, Pop and shit like that, but I saw a quick review on it at TV and a preview of the song "Don't Hold The Wall", and I liked it. So I decided to listen to the full album :)

I hate pretty much all of the songs, but "Don't Hold The Wall", "Blue Ocean Floor", "Dress On" and maybe even "Tunnel Vision".

But I can tell that I don't regret to listen to "Strawberry Bubblegum", "Let The Groove Get In" (if it wasn't so repetitive)

The only thing that really piss me off is the lyrics that don't touch me at all. But I guess pop music isn't made to touch deep emotion or people's value...

I also would like to underline the fact that some songs (such as "Spaceship Coupe") are dubstep songs, but not "SKRIllEX copying that pop peoples call dubstep" kind of music. So it's a good thing.

Finally, it's cool that he did something different of "what is popular"(just doing a song more than three minutes distabilise them...). That's in those cases that we know if an artist like to make music or like to make money out of music and don't relly give a damn about it. We can hear (even if, like me, we don't like this kind of music) that he like it.

I also heard that it will maybe have a secont volume ?? I hope it will sound like this too !
