Lots of surface noise on a brand new record! The CD version sounds much better. My other Coldplay records sound great but they are all EU/Parlophone. I'm probably never buying a US/Capitol record again. Now, I'm on the hunt for an EU/Parlophone version of this album.

Played brand new. No surface noise. Flat and quiet. The mastering could've been more detailed given the quality of the songs and musicianship. That said, minimal complaints as this is as good as this album will sound for the time being. Worth having in your collection.

Awful pressing. Mine has crazy surface noise, especially distracting during quiet parts on side one. Charlie Brown is almost unlistenable.
