A friend gave me an old copy of this. The first listen blew me away. Such a great record. Very quickly becoming my favorite. It will earn a place on my favorites shelf for sure. More people should own give respect here. Absolute genius.

This album, especially side one is one of my favorite jazz albums. Even though it's mono or perhaps because it is there's an immediacy to the music and a feeling that the musicians are in the room. This is one of those albums I play for friends to show off the system.

Hands down favorite. Combines the best of exotica and hard bop. In awe that this gets less recognition than say Moanin, which is just ok on my list.
