Sergio Chierici – Movie Passion III

A third volume of the Movie Passion collection, with elaborations of 5 melodies taken from as many famous films. Starting from the original melodies, a rhythmic and harmonic transformation of the compositions is carried out, with an adaptation to the timbre and characteristics of the solo piano, thus making use of improvisation. The result is the reference to the original atmospheres and sensations of films and soundtracks, but giving the group of songs a different poetic light, and a renewed unity; in this specific case, then, space was given to a performance largely of an improvisational genre, and to a style of an intimist nature, even in the case of music designed for large instrumental ensembles, such as the theme of Jurassik Park.
