Recorded direct from the board to digital by Colin Medley, here's most of my solo set from Saving Gigi in Toronto on January 26th 2012. I was opening for Julie Doiron on one of the nights of her weekly residency. That's her doing the little intro before the first song. She also played a set after me, then we had fun messing through a bunch of old covers together. It was a really nice winter night with a small loving audience.
I just got this recording of the show from Colin recently (as well as the cover photo) and it's really nice to have for some of the rare songs that i never documented live before. Like the four cover tunes including one of my fave Julie songs "Dirty Feet" that i learnt special for the show. "Anna-Leigh" which is a tune i gave to the Sadies and didn't play live much, and "Over the loneliest world", a very rare song that i never played live or released on an album.
I'm also really glad to have this recording because unknowingly at the time, it ended up being the last live show i ever did.
I've remastered and added it to my bandcamp here mostly for safe keeping, but i hope some of you may enjoy it as well. Thanks for the continued support friends. Means a lot.
