Reviews
- Lord Runningclam takes a one-album hiatus from Electric Skychurch to present FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY, a short trip in the classic Orb ambient dub, though, unfortunately, with the magical Orb touch. The spoken word and breaks of "Faces in the Night" slide in on some mellow acid, while the whistling on "Wrinkly" gives that track a lazy, Mayberry feel. Some jazz breaks undergird the horn-drenched "Sweet Little Hats," and Ken Nordine returns on "Flibberty Jib" for more spoken word madness, this time in a more noir setting. "Pnubop" has a light sweetness to it, and "Leon's Dog" takes the album out on some spacious ambiance. Pretty enough, but nothing particularly noteworthy.
