- I bought the last copy that was on sale here on discogs in Aug 2022 and it was shipped from Detroit to the UK. I had the record cleaned professionally and it's turned out to be in great playable condition. Came wrapped in a small plane trade newspaper from 1986 with the previous owners name and address in Ohio. Side 1 - two light scratches that are only heard in-between tracks. Side 2 is flawless and noise free with a lovely warm sound. Love the vocals on this album! Favourite track is 'And I like it' which hasn't dated at all. This 12 track original is exactly as the artist intended it to be - despite the major label censorship effort - and as such is a special record indeed. I wonder how many first edition copies were issued before it was withdrawn, let alone how many are left in decent playable condition?
- Edited 3 years agoThis is wanderful first album of JA without Grace Slick but with great signer Singe Toly Anderson who left the band in October 1966. You can hear her solo voice in "Chauffeur Blues" Nice folk rock sound , very interesting and hounting - check the opening track "Blues From An Airplane" with harmonies that You will never again find in Airplane- everone is singing corectly on time and together, but with the same power as later in Airplane. Even before Slick this band was succesful. If You can get the CD with bonus tracks and description of the beginning of the band. Very very interesting. I love it. 4,5 stars out of 5.
