"Harlem Hot Shots" is a pseudonym for Joe Haymes & His Orchestra on side A and for Bennie Moten's Kansas City Orchestra on side B.

Side A = Mx. BVE-72617-1 was recorded on May 4, 1932 in Camden, NJ and was originally released on Victor 24007 on July 1, 1932 (as by "The Radio Rascals").

Side B = Mx. BVE-62927-1 was recorded on October 31, 1930 at Lincoln Hall in Kansas City, MO and was originally released on Victor 23028 on January 9, 1931.

This coupling was originally released on labels crediting RCA Victor Company, Inc. at bottom on June 6, 1934. This repressing dates to between Summer 1935 - September 1937, when Bluebird "Staff" label was introduced.
