Reviews
- Edited 6 years agoFirst thing to note of the sound is how loud the record is cut. It doesn't have a great dynamic range but I doesn't strive to have one. This is a record thats purely just trying to be fun and inviting through its crisp loudness. The staging is done well and it would be a purely pleasant listen if it weren't for the sibilant S´s on some vocals. Careful if you dont have a stylus grade higher than elliptical or an MC cart to dampen them, especially if you primarily listen through headphones.
Its not an audiophile record, and it doesn't have to be one, it does all it really needs. If you however love this album and require those dynamics anyway then the only real place to look is potentially the first press UK or US for vinyl.
Update:
Listening to a first press UK reveals that its pretty much identical in sound and loudness.
