Notes
All pieces on this album were composed by Christian I. Holston. Vocals on "Soldiers Live" by Amelia Kleymann. All pieces were recorded in a private studio using a Korg X3 and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.
The term "Soldiers Live..." is based upon the novel by Glenn Cook bearing the same name. Several lines of Soldiers Live are adapted from a poem accredited to "Morgan of Catskills", a former player of Ultima Online.
Special Thanks To:
All members, past and present, of the Black Rose Society for providing the inspiration.
The Ultima Online Catskills role-playing community for providing someone to play with.
David Spangler and the staff of the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts for convincing me that giving up music was a bad idea.
Tony Claus for being infinitely patient and supportive.
And to the few people (you know who you are) for providing more specific inspiration for several of the pieces included on this album - and yes, I am a stereotypical musician, and yes, they're all women.
And my heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters, police, soldiers, and other public servants of the United States. You stand on a wall to protect us from harm, and for that, this lowly musician is eternally grateful.
