Gamelan

Gamelan is a 3-piece rock band from Klang Valley, Malaysia, playing rock music in Malay-language. Formed originally by Jimi Gamelan (vocals/guitars), and joined by current members i.e. Jep (drums) and Sey (bass). The band was formed somewhere in 2008 as a duo, before their first full line-up in 2011 alongside original members Khai (bass) and Eman (drums). The band recorded their first ever single "Aku" in 2018. The song received a good review from a local online radio station, which was ranked 3rd out of 10. The band 2nd single "Pembenci Lelaki" was recorded in 2020, which was made as an online release.

The name derived from various genre the band played, as the followings;
G - Grunge, A - Alternative, M - Metal, E - Emo, L - Lo-fi, A - Acoustic, N - Nusantara (a type of style synonym to their home country, Malaysia)
