Electric gauchos

Profile:

Founded in 1997 by former The League Of Crafty Guitarists and Los Gauchos Alemanes members Steve Ball and Fernando Kabusacki — both associated with *Guitar Craft / Guitar Circle courses. Electric Gauchos played all over Argentina and Seattle, USA beginning with a sold out show at Seattle's Broadway Performance Hall in March 1997. That first show included guests Bill Rieflin, Trey Gunn, Tony Geballe, California Guitar Trio and percussionist Jarrod Kaplan.

Core members include Seattle guitarists Steve Ball and two of Argentina's finest musicians: Fernando Kabusacki (guitars) and Fernando Samalea (drums). EG also features guitarist Alex Anthony Faide (formerly Christian De Santis), German guitarist, Martin Schwutke as well as a series of rotating residential guests that over three decades have included Horacio Pozzo (keyboards and guitars), Julie Slick (bass), Beth Fleenor (clarinet), Igor Abuladze (bass), and Brock Avery (drums).

*Guitar Craft was founded by Robert Fripp in March 1985.
