From deep house to techno, Lucas Keizer's DJ sets and
production stay forward thinking and un predictable. Lucas is
originally from Jakarta Indonesia, where he grew up on
smooth jazz and his parents hippie record collection of
sounds, ranging from Pink Floyd to Sinatra. From day one
Lucas has had a vast array of musical influences. Originally
getting into house music while looking for somewhere to lay
down the cardboard and start break dancing, later turned into
a passion that has fueled many events, release's and dj gigs.
Lucas began djing in clubs and warehouse parties in Houston Texas around 1999. With around ten years of experience under his belt, he always strives to provide a unique sound to his audiences. Lucas has held many resident dj spots and one off parties at various venues all over Houston, Playing alongside some of the biggest names in the industry such as Mark Farina, Julius Papp, and Charles Feelgood to name a few. His original tracks and remixes have been played and charted all over the globe by world renouned dj's such as Dubfire from Deep Dish, Fred Everything, Raoul Belmans, and many others.
Jazz, funk, and soul, infused with hard hitting house beats is the sound that Lucas has become known for. Lucas' music ranges from ice cold deep house, to warm summer time vibes, to face melting tech house, all of which incorporates a certain dance floor energy. Lucas appears on releases with artist such as JT Donaldson, Toka Project, and Natural Rhythm. Doing original work and remixes for heavy weight labels such as Tango, Kolour, Guesthouse, Einmaleins, Neurotraxx and loads of others, he shows no sign of slowing down.
After attending school for Audio Engineering, and production at Media Tech, Lucas has recorded, mixed, and master all types of projects for clients. He is also the founder of the production company H.U.H.M. which stands for Houston’s Underground House Movement. H.U.H.M. has had some truly amazing events in its infant stages of existence, and has a bright future ahead. Keep your ears to the ground!
