Senegalese musician.

Died on February 4, 2021 in Paris following a long illness, Hamidou Touré of the “Touré Kunda” brothers will finally be buried in Nouakchott (Mauritania) where he grew up with his maternal family. Newspaper “Le Témoin” confirms that the artist-singer Hamidou Touré will not rest alongside his late brother Amadou Tilo, buried in Casamance in 1983.

Short bio:

Séta Touré, formerly Hamidou Touré, joined Touré Kunda for the albums Salam (1990) and Sounké (1991). Séta led his own orchestra called Xumaru from 1976 to 1989 before joining the group.

From Malian origins, born Senegalese, of Mauritanian nationality. Sings in soninké language.
