Imaginary Walls

Imaginary Walls

Profile:

Gothic band from Sweden, formed in 1999.
Line-up:
Sebastian Wiman: Vocals, programming
Johan Åman: Guitars, programming
Robin Berg: Bassguitar
The band was formed in the fall of 1999 by the two members, Johan and Sebastian.
During a couple of month their first demo-CD was recorded and it contained mostly very old stuff. They didn’t have very good technical equipment at this time but it all took a serious turn when they got a synthesizer. Before that they used the sound banks from the soundcard on the computer.

The year 2000 the sound of the band developed radically and moved up to the next level (or to another dimension if you like). Unfortunately the band couldn’t produce very much at this time because the members where busy doing other things, like work and so on. Their newly founded laziness where also a big part of the lack of production.

During winter 2000 Peter L. joined the band and came to be in charge of the bass guitarr.
A few tracks where also recorded and some old stuff where edited for the forthcoming gig at Yunomia-festival in Skövde on the 17th February 2001. After all that the band packed themselves into the studio again to record the second demo-cd. The production came to be very slow and they had to push on the deadline several times. In summertime that year, Peter the “bass guy” left the band and the musical core of the band where back by themselves once again, at least until February 2002 when Robin joined in on bass guitar. In May the same year it was time for another concert, this time in their hometown Karlstad. Many new songs were performed for the first time, and the audience loved the new sound of Imaginary Walls.

In August 2002 the band released their second demo-CD named "Landscape of Eternal Sight", in a strictly limited edition. The first 50 copies (without cover artwork) were given away. The second edition (called Heads) was available for sale later.
