Mychael Gabriel

Mychael "Gabriel" Davison (b. 1986, Minneapolis) is an American musician, songwriter, producer, and audio engineer. He's the son of Gilbert Davison (b. 1963), former Paisley Park Enterprises president and head of Prince's security in the 1980s, and songwriter Constance Guzman (b. 1957), who met during Purple Rain Tour and got married shortly afterward. Mychael began his career at 16 engineering for the legendary American percussionist, Sheila E., continuously collaborating with her since then and currently performing as lead guitarist in Sheila E. And The E-Train. Mychael Gabriel has also worked with many prominent artists, from Ringo Starr, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Beck, and Gary Clark Jr. to Hans Zimmer, St. Vincent, Joss Stone, Earth, Wind & Fire, George Clinton, Freddie Stone of Sly & The Family Stone, and Victor Wooten. According to Davison's interviews, his godparents are Sheila E. and Prince.
