Suburban Dark

Suburban Dark released their debut 12″ vinyl in 2010 through Sydney electronic label The Frequency Lab.

Suburban Dark have already brought their dark-brooding productions to both of the Big Village label compilations; Straight Edge ft Jeswon, and Vertigo ft. Tuka, Ellesquire and Rapaport on Big Things Vol One and Two respectively.

Suburban Dark also produced the title track of Tuka’s latest critically acclaimed album ‘Feedback Loop’.

Suburban Dark have developed their sound creating a niche in Sydney's electronic scene. SD will never pass up an opportunity to rinse out a stack of speakers. They have played alongside Harmonic 313, Monkfly and Hermitude’s El Gusto just to name a few.

Suburban Dark’s music is not to be messed with. Self described as “fight beats”, the duo are hell bent on keep things straight and tough. Their analog-synthesizer infused sound is deep, minimal and razor sharp, built with the intent to be played loud. SD have a diverse range of tracks from spine chilling noise to straight up bass assaulting bangers.

SD’s debut LP, Second Front, is due out mid 2013. The album is a dark, eclectic collection of rap tracks and instrumentals, exploring the Second Front of Sydney’s bleak underground. Featuring MC’s Jeswon, Mute, Rapaport, Ellesquire, P.Smurf, Billie Rose, Mikoen, Grey Ghost, Elemont and Tuka.
