Swedish composer of Russian origin, born December 21, 1969 in Vladivostok, Russia.

She studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. She came to Sweden in 1992. In Sweden, she continued her education at the music academies in Stockholm and Malmö. She also studied at the Royal College of Music in London.

Her breakthrough came in 1998 with the work Wings of the Wind which won second prize in the Masterprize competition in the UK.

Her music has been performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Finland, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki City Orchestra, the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet and the Chamber Ensemble.

Victoria Borisova-Ollas was the subject of a composer's weekend at Stockholm Concert Hall in April 2013

Victoria Borisova-Ollas was elected to the Swedish Composers' Association in 1999 and as a member of the Royal Academy of Music on 12 May 2008.
