Wilfred Guillette

Born in Massachusetts, Wilfred Guillette (1913-2004) was a Vermont old-time fiddler. Taught how to play by his father Euclide at the age of thirteen, the two began performing (twin fiddling and clogging) together in 1929. After marrying pianist Aline Guillette, Wilfred continued playing night events and sporadic festivals, and in the 1960s he became active with the Northeast Fiddlers' Association.
