Tammy McKnight

Tammy McKnight was born in New Orleans, and aspired to a singing career in her teens. She was signed to Tune-Kel Records and made her debut with "Don't Rub It In" b/w "Stop These Teardrops." Her second single, "Take Away These Chains," became a modest regional hit, but she never had a chance to build on it, as the label went out of business in 1966. As far as anyone can tell, she never recorded again.
