Seaton was born in Beltsville, Maryland, USA. At 19 years of age in the late 1970s, Seaton joined the United Service Organizations (USO) world tour. In the early 1980s, Seaton won a District of Columbia Battle of the Bands contest and $10,000. He put that money toward his first album, which allowed him to get his music to people outside of the Greater Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas. From there, he landed a role in “Elvis Mania in New York City” (1984), “Elvis – an American Musical” (1988 - 1989), and trhen “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (1992-1997). He ultimately had his own show (as Elvis) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

(Despite his vocals and physical looks in his youth) Seaton was not an Elvis impersonator. He sings a wide range or rock and rockabilly and has recorded two original albums (recorded with the world-renowned Danny Gatton).
