Profile:

Henry Adam Curtis is both a virtuoso pianist and accomplished composer. He made his recital debut at age eleven at UC Irvine, and his concerto debut with the San Diego Symphony at fifteen.

As a scholarship student at the University of Southern California School of Performing Arts, he studied piano with Daniel Pollack, Leonard Stein, Joanna Graudan, and composition with Frederick Lesemann.

He was twice the recipient of the KFAC-USC Artist Preview Award. Curtis received his Bachelor of Music in 1983, studying composition with Charles Jones.

He obtained his Masters of Art in composition with Wilbur Ogdon, Joji Yuasa, Roger Reynolds, and conducting with Thomas Nee.
