Thara Memory

Thara Memory (born 1948/1949, Eatonville, Florida, USA - diedJune 17, 2017, Portland, Oregon, USA, aged 68) was an American trumpeter and educator, and was part of the Portland jazz scene for over 40 years. He was the founder of the American Music Program and was the mentor to Esperanza Spalding. He collaborated with a number of artists, including Dizzy Gillespie, Eddie Harris, James Brown, Four Tops and Stanley Turrentine.
